For Vietcong's 20th Anniversary, he re-imagined Vietcong as if it had come out fifteen years earlier. For the "7dfs 2022 Game Jam," Shigor created Dietcong, a tribute to Vietcong. The 15-year earlier premise necessitated several design changes: 1) the game is a dungeon crawler -- correction, a JUNGLE-crawler, and 2) the game is turn-based, not a FPS. Bronson is now Bronxon, Defort is Dreadford, Hornster is Hownster, and Crocker is Kraker. Radio communication example = "Dreadford: Brothel Six, this is Gigolo one. Our chopper was shot down, we had to jump out in the jungle. Over." The music is PseudoHendrix by Rude Kostry from the original 2003 Vietcong, used with permission.
