Spawn point testing in DEV editor

Is there a way to test spawn points without having to finalize the map
and testing in game?

Yes, if you use dev_editor then there is command for that, under waypoints tester.

Tutorial:
- F8
Shift + F9 ( creating default AI )
choose from menu: Game > Waypoints tester
- click "Test MP recovers"
- you will see result in "Test status" area
- When there is errors then look file "mprecovers_test.txt" under vc main directory.



You can also test there "waypoints" and "baranims"

That's handy to know, didn't know about Shift + F9

I did the test, what I meant was something like my player would spawn
at a recovery point with me being able to see where he is and if my player
is facing the right direction and then I could use maybe a command for next spawn
and have a look at it and keep doing so until I have tested them all..

reason I ask, in the map i have worked on from time to time as you probably already know
is a ghost map, i want billboards with only a 0.4 clip distance to show in front of the player when he spawns but not needed to display for any other reason then that. billboards would have an image of ghost, grudge or what ever.

to test that i have the billboard at the right height and visible distance i have to finalize the map load it up as a created server map and keep pressing home to make my self spawn again and then i have to make the changes. I then have to do it all over again to test again.

if there was a better faster way to do the spawn testing it would make my work much faster..

i already know how to set them up and point them in the correct direction but when having something display to a spawned player with less the .5 of a meter away, every inch counts to what the player is looking at.
