How to host properly a server with VCDED

Offline Member Posts: 51 Joined: 22.05.14 Gender: male Warnings:	Hi, Since few years, I would like to host a server but I don't understand why it never appears in the servers list even with UDP/TCP ports open and the firewall on Win7 doesn't block VCDED. And maybe now I have to change something because of the closure of Gamespy? This is the list of UDP/TCP ports which was on Pterodon website: The following are the UDP packets required to be open: 3425-5440, 5725-5740, 5555, 6500, 6515, 6667, 6073, 3783, 13139, 2300-2400, 15420-15440, 27900, and 28900. The following are the TCP packets required to be open: 27900, 28900, 29900-29901, 5425-5450, 2300-2400, 5555, 6500, 6515, 6667, 3783, and 15425-15430. Offline Senior Member Posts: 451 Joined: 16.03.11 Gender: male Warnings:	Actually it should be enough to open (firewall) / forward (router) these ports: UDP 15425 (and 15426+ if you host more than one server) UDP 5425 (or the defined port number(s) for the server(s)) And you have to add this line to "C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file: 65.112.87.186 master.gamespy.com
