Offline Member Posts: 87 Joined: 02.01.12 Gender: male Warnings:	Hi all, It used to be so easy back in 2005 - to create a local server that your friends could join. Yes I know that times have changed and PC are way faster etc and I found how to edit the hosts file to get server list again and I also found fantastic VC starter patch. So I tried running VC with VC starter 1.6 and 1.7 but always get the same error message: "Server kicked you out". I try to create this server on my Windows 7 PC When I added port forwarding for ports 5425 and 15425 on my D-Link DSL-2880AL modem/router I got a different error: "Connection timed out". I've also allowed public connections in/out on my Windows firewall when VCDED.exe asked for it. When I refreshed my port forwarding list, I found that Vietcong had created an extra port forward (third in the list in the image)... Can anyone help me out? Offline Member Posts: 69 Joined: 18.03.11 Location: East Bohemia Gender: male Age: 28 Warnings:	I think I know the solution to all of the problems. 1) When creating the server, make sure HradBa (anticheat) is NOT ENABLED. 2) Disable Universal Plug and Play or UPnP in your router's configuration interface. 3) (Optional) feel free to use VCGuard tool when creating the server. It is not that difficult to set up and provides many more functions and some fixes. You should definitely stick with VCStarter 1.7 unless you're having some specific issue with it. It provides 2-3 times performance boost and fixes some bugs from 1.65.1. Edited by Nosek on 20-09-2018 18:35

Do you know a good place to read more about VC guard? I am not running a dedicated server just a local one but if I ever do, I will definitely use it. Thanks again! That'll download the newest version of the tool which includes vcguard.ini file with original instructions and additional info written by me.
