Moving an object to its location
techno
Hi All
Might be a simple thing and I never bothered about it before, just use an old ball mouse for when editing maps was the best way I found.

The thing is + and - will speed up or slow down how fast you glide around in the editor but what do you use
to apply the same idea to an object.

What I mean is and How I have been doing it.
with a ball mouse I can be more exact to where I want the object, laser mouse tend to jump
to much one way or to much the other way.

so after I have the object near to how I want it, I then press C to size it and get the object to the exact distance
from one object to another and have it how I wanted it.

this is OK with most objects, but when I am putting one wall against another wall even thought it looks very close to how it should
look, it's never 100% exactly how I wanted it "but i live with it".

'SO' is there some way to slow down the movement of an object to be more exact? so the object is not 2 inches to far one way
or 2 inches to far the other way!!!

Cheers

You talk about how to move objects in editor, right?.

1. option
Choose numbers 1,2 .... with every number is different movement speed.

2. option
For precise movement use: "Settings" > "Snap setting"s > turn on only "vertex" option. And make sure that "grid point" option is off, its on by default but I think its pointless option.
Then turn on "Toolbar" > "snap translator" (N)
Then you can move with snapping vertex points.

1,2 and 3 slows down an "Object" (1 is the slowest) , + and - slows down the "Camera" movment.
