Can't install Patch 1.6

Offline Newbie Posts: 3 Joined: 18.02.16 Warnings:	Good evening! Recently I have installed Vietcong because I wanted to play it again. Everything worked fine, but the game always crashes at one specific point in the campaign. I learned online that I have to install the VCStarter in order to eliminate all combatibility problems with Windows 7. However, VCStarter requires Vietcong v1.6 to work, so I downloaded the Patch, but no matter what I do, it won't let me install it. I always just get the message "Installer was unable to find previous installation of the Vietcong. It is not possible to install Vietcong v1.60 patch.". I tried installing the game in the usual direction C:\Programs\Vietcong but that didn't work either. What can I do do make the patch work?

Offline Member Posts: 119 Joined: 24.06.15 Warnings:	unistall vietcong, clean registry, you can use also Windows Installer CleanUp Utility , reboot windows, then install vietcong, patches etc, after that come here and write these words: "It works!"
